Job summary

Orion Space Solutions, an Arcfield company, invites a Flight Software Engineer III to join our engineering team in Louisville, CO. You will develop, integrate, and maintain complex ground and space payload software, collaborating with hardware teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions for multiple programs.

You will work on embedded processing systems using micro‑controllers, CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, design reviews, and certification activities while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering or computation field with space & aerospace experience.
• Experience with space processing architecture including micro‑controllers, processors, SoC and GPUs.
• Strong knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS, and C/C++/Python/Bash.
• Experience across all development phases from requirements to sustainment.
• Experience with git and CI/CD systems.
• Familiarity with containerization (Podman, Docker) and APIs.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, serial, routing, message queues.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, and maintenance for complex ground and space payloads.
• Develop embedded applications and algorithms for micro‑controllers, GPUs, and SoCs.
• Maintain code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment practices.
• Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and tests with hardware and software.
• Support qualification and certification activities with documentation for audits.
• Communicate technical concepts to multidisciplinary audiences.
