Job summary

Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group is seeking an Origination Support Specialist (LOA) in a Sales environment. The role requires strong attention to detail and timely, accurate handling of loan documentation and scheduling for the Loan Officer and clients.

The position supports loan processing, marketing efforts, and miscellaneous tasks, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed in a regular, full-time or part-time capacity.

SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Origination Support Specialist (LOA) will be organized with a strong attention to detail. This individual is expected to exercise significant initiative in the performance of all assigned duties.

PRIMARY POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Loan Officer in general administrative and clerical duties;
• Obtain loan documentation once loan application is received and ensure all documentation is completed accurately for Loan Officer to proceed to the next phase of processing;
• Schedule appointments, meetings, lunches, and etc. for the Loan Officer and clients;
• Assist with branch marketing efforts to generate leads;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

ESSESTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
• Must be dependable with meeting deadlines and managing time;
• Have an ability to work independently on multiple files simultaneously;
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in the mortgage banking industry;
