Job summary

AMDA is seeking an Orientation Leader to support incoming students during a short-term orientation. The role involves tracking attendance both on Zoom and in person, monitoring Canvas progress, and encouraging participation in seminars and activities.

You will act as a liaison between the Orientation Team and students and help guide them through the online and in-person orientation processes. This position requires lifting up to 30 lbs, standing for 8–10 hours, and familiarity with tablets,

Qualifications

  • Must be in good standing with the school as an Alum.
  • Knowledge of working with a tablet.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Job description

Commitment to being an Orientation Leader is vital to creating a strong and successful experience for the AMDA incoming students.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Tracking students' attendance on Zoom and in-person
  • Tracking progress on Canvas to make sure all assignments are completed
  • Encouraging students to attend all seminars and activities
  • Be a liaison between the Orientation Team and the students
  • Help guide students through their online and in-person Orientation
  • Weekly Meetings with incoming students and the Orientation Team
  • Attending Orientation seminars and sessions to support the incoming students
  • Assist Orientation Coordinator in setting up and breaking down rooms
  • Assist in bag and folder preparation for Orientation check-in
Qualifications:
  • Must be in good standing with the school as an Alum
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 8–10 hour
  • Knowledge of working with a tablet
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Position Information:
  • The pay for this position is $17 hourly
  • Will need to wear black pants for all orientation
  • The required date for this role is from October 15th - 23rd

The dates provided are when availability is required. Orientation Attendants will work approximately 15 to 30 hours a week.
