Job summary

Flatrock in Flint, MI is looking for an Orientation Associate who welcomes new hires and introduces them to our culture and values. You will be the friendly face who helps new employees start confidently, gather required documents, and coordinate background checks.

You should enjoy public speaking, be organized, and communicate clearly. Prior HR, onboarding, or recruitment experience is a plus; CPR instructor certification is a plus and can be developed on the job.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire Direct Care Worker candidates.
• Create and maintain new hire folders with accurate documentation.
• Build new hire rosters with training dates and backgrounds.
• Complete required background checks (ICHAT, OIG, SAM).
• Become a Certified CPR Instructor to train staff and build safety skills.
• Assist onboarding to connect new employees with Flatrock culture.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit, interview, and hirequalified Direct Care Worker (DCW) candidates
• Create and maintain new hire folderswith accurate and organized documentation
• Build new hire rostersthat include training dates and important background information
• Complete required background checks, including ICHAT, OIG, and SAM screenings
• Become a Certified CPR Instructor to teach CPR classesand help employees build essential safety skills
• Serve as a key resource throughout the onboarding process and help new employees feel connected to theFlatrock Family

Qualifications
