Job summary

AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting and seeks an Organizational Development Consultant for remote, project-based work with public agencies. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel; there is no guaranteed assignment.

You will support organizational assessments and design evidence-based recommendations with sequenced roadmaps. This role operates as a 1099 project-based collaboration, suitable for professionals with leadership and facilitation experience across

Qualifications

• Led an organizational assessment or operating-model engagement with a written deliverable.
• Facilitated leadership or employee sessions with client-visible notes.
• Wrote findings, options, and an implementation sequence in plain language.
• Has at least two engagements described by organization type, role, and result.
• Willing to work as a 1099 project-based collaborator with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Support organizational assessments, operating-model reviews, and implementation plans for public agencies
• Design interviews, focus groups, or workshops that produce evidence
• Document current roles, decision rights, and handoffs for verification
• Draft practical recommendations and a sequenced implementation roadmap
• Facilitate working sessions with agency leadership and frontline supervisors
• Contribute methods and past-performance narrative to proposals only when authorized
• Separate findings you can source from recommendations needing agency data

Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. Requirements

Required

• Experience leading an organizational assessment or operating-model engagement for an employer, through a written deliverable
• Facilitation of leadership or employee sessions, with notes the client could use
• Ability to write findings, options, and an implementation sequence in plain language
• At least two engagements you can describe by organization type, your role, and the result
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel
