Job summary

New England Donor Services in Waltham, MA is seeking an Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator to assist surgeons in the OR, support organ preservation with cutting-edge devices, and recover corneas and heart valves for transplant.

You will coordinate logistics for organ recovery, arrange team transportation, communicate with hospitals, and travel to multiple sites across New England, contributing to life-saving donation efforts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Medical Terminology and clinical experience in a medical/healthcare field is required.
• Aseptic Technique is preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite and Outlook, and ability to learn new internal NEDS systems required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in the OR during organ recovery and preservation.
• Coordinate organ preservation including perfusion devices and logistics for transport.
• Arrange team transportation and communicate with NEDS and hospital staff.
• Perform recovery of corneas and heart valves from deceased donors.
