Job summary

Indiana Donor Network is seeking a Referral Response Coordinator for a mid-shift role in Fort Wayne, IN. The position responds to referrals from hospitals to assess donor suitability and coordinates with clinical teams to collect essential information for timely donation evaluation.

Travel to hospitals is required, and the role supports initiation of donor management orders while adhering to OPTN and IDN guidelines. Strong communication and confidential handling of data are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical area preferred.
• Current BLS or obtain within 6 months.
• Strong critical care experience in a hospital setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Effective interpersonal and relationship‑building skills; ability to work with diverse people.
• Maintain confidentiality for donation‑related information.
• Learn organ and tissue donor screening and donation processes.
• Collaborate with hospital and Indiana Donor Network staff.
• Flexible hours to accommodate hospital meetings.
• Understand regulatory requirements governing Indiana Donor Network and hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals from assigned hospitals to collect and communicate data regarding donor suitability.
• Facilitate the donation process in collaboration with internal and external partners and initiate donor management orders.
• Participate on projects or committees to enhance or improve the organization’s success and culture.
