Job summary

Indiana Donor Network is seeking a Clinical Support Coordinator (Mid Shift) to join our Indianapolis team. The role supports the organ and tissue donation process, collaborates with clinicians, and handles case management of tissue and shared organ cases.

This position requires post-secondary training in a healthcare field; a Bachelor's is preferred. Strong data-entry and communication skills are essential, with experience using electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training or education in a relevant field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, but other healthcare backgrounds will be considered (EMT, LPN, Medical Assistant, etc.).
• Strong case management & communication skills with a commitment to providing compassionate support to donor families.
• Excellent data entry & computer skills; experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
• The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining informed telephone authorization and conducting medical/social history risk assessments with families of patients who authorize donation.
• Collaborating with clinicians to perform medical screenings to determine donation eligibility.
• Case management of tissue and shared organ cases, ensuring seamless transitions and effective case completion.

About the Role

• As a Clinical Support Coordinator, you are at the heart of the organ and tissue donation process. Your responsibilities will include:
• Obtaining informed telephone authorization and conducting comprehensive medical and social history risk assessments with families of patients who authorize donation.
• Collaborating directly with clinicians to perform medical screenings on patients to determine donation eligibility.
• Case management of all aspects of tissue cases and shared organ cases, ensuring seamless transitions and effective case completion.
• Providing accurate, timely information to both internal and external stakeholders.

This role follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule from 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM, including weekends and holidays. The schedule alternates four-day (M, T, F, Sa) / three-day workweeks (Sn, W, Th).
