Job summary

Donor Network West seeks a Clinical Procurement Coordinator I to manage referrals, donor evaluation, and coordination of organ recovery and distribution. You will support donor families and collaborate with hospitals, coroner/ME offices, and DNWest staff to ensure ethical and efficient donation processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or biological sciences, ICU/critical care experience, and ACLS certification, with CPTC to be earned within 2 years of orientation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or biological sciences or equivalent.
• Two years in critical care setting or minimum one year in an OPO clinical role.
• ACLS certification required; other professional certifications (RN, EMT-P, RRT) may be obtained.
• Ability to travel within the DNWest service area by car and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to donor referrals and provide onsite consultation to referring hospitals.
• Conduct chart reviews to determine medical suitability with clinical staff.
• Document information in DNWest records and monitor donor stability and organ function.
• Coordinate organ recovery with OR staff and DNWest recovery services.
• Communicate with coroner/ME and plan for release for donation and remains post recovery.
• Maintain proficiency in organ packaging per UNOS standards.
