Job summary

UAB Medicine in Montgomery, AL, is seeking a Clinical Response Coordinator to support the organ donation process. You will conduct on-site donor hospital visits, assess initial donor suitability with hospital staff, and coordinate communications between on-site teams and Legacy of Hope.

You will manage donor data, assist families, arrange labs, and coordinate transport for testing; after brain death, you help stabilize the donor and arrange procurement staff arrival.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a medical or related field is required.
• One year of experience in nursing, EMT, Paramedic, respiratory therapy, social work, or donation industry.
• Preferred: hospital experience, crisis intervention, grief support; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Visit donor hospitals on-site to assess donor suitability and communicate with staff.
• Coordinate transport of blood/tissue typing and manage donor case data.
• Support families and donor management after brain death and during procurement.
