Job summary

Sears Injury Law seeks an Oregon-licensed Personal Injury Attorney to represent injured individuals through the claims process, with emphasis on motor vehicle accidents. Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Oregon State Bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of personal injury or comparable civil litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Oregon personal injury law, claims, and procedures.
• Proven negotiation and independent case-evaluation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to manage high-volume caseload.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and manage personal injury claims, identifying the most effective path toward successful resolution.
• Represent injured clients throughout the claims process, including investigations, liability analysis, medical record review, demand preparation, and settlement negotiations.
• Advocate aggressively and professionally on behalf of clients to obtain fair and favorable compensation.
• Apply Oregon personal injury statutes, insurance regulations, procedural requirements, and applicable case law to effectively handle claims.
• Coordinate with fellow attorneys and litigation staff on matters involving lawsuits, discovery, depositions, mediation, or trial preparation.
• Maintain consistent, compassionate communication with clients, ensuring they understand their cases and feel supported throughout the process.
• Analyze medical treatment, economic damages, liability, insurance coverage, and other relevant factors to evaluate claims and develop settlement strategies.
• Work closely with paralegals, case managers, and legal support professionals to maintain efficient workflows and high standards of representation.
• Ensure compliance with Oregon legal ethics, court requirements, deadlines, and firm policies.
