Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an Area Operations Manager to drive its successful business in Oregon. You will lead a powerful team of over 250 staff, partnering with senior leaders to plan, execute, and grow infrastructure, environmental, planning and consulting services across the state.

You will work with area groups to implement strategies, mentor departmental leaders, ensure client satisfaction, and advance HDR's employee-owned culture and commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience managing diverse teams.
• Professional or Engineering registration (PE) preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist business groups in development of area strategic and operating plans and budgets.
• Drive implementation of area key initiatives and growth strategies.
• Coordinate area operational strategies with regional managers.
• Support local managers in marketing, project services, staff development, quality and client relations.
