Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an Area Operations Manager for the Dakotas and Wyoming to lead strategy, delivery, and growth across infrastructure, environmental, planning and consulting services. You will oversee a large regional team and partner with senior leaders to execute HDR's strategic plan.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of leadership experience, and a professional engineering registration is preferred. HDR champions an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and managing diverse teams.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist business groups in development of area strategic and operating plans and budgets.
• Partner with Regional Business Group directors to drive implementation of area key initiatives and growth strategies.
• Coordinate and implement area operational strategies with managers.
• Support local managers in marketing, project services, staff development, quality and client relations.
• Be involved in local communities, trade associations, and with clients to represent HDR in the region.
• Monitor area performance indicators and oversee actions for improvement.
