Job summary

MRC Recruiting seeks a Senior Ore Control Geologist to lead the ore control group and run grade control from drill to mill, ensuring precise ore and waste boundaries and trusted short‑term models. You will supervise drilling, sampling, and data quality while coordinating with mine planning, geotech, and process teams.

The role requires 8–10 years in mining geology, with 5+ years in production geology, and a strong background in grade control, data management, and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
• Professional registration or eligibility is highly desirable.
• 8–10 years of practical geology experience in the mining industry.
• At least 5 years of production geology at a producing mine.
• Open pit or underground experience.
• Hands-on experience with grade control, ore control, geological modelling, and reconciliation.
• Experience supervising geological personnel and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily ore control and grade control programs to ensure accurate boundaries and dig plans.
• Maintain QA/QC standards for sampling, logging, and data quality.
• Interpret assays, mapping, and logging to update geological models and short-term plans.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly geological and production reports.
• Mentor geologists and technicians, coordinating with Mine Planning, Geotech, and Process teams.
