Kinross Gold Corporation seeks a Senior Mine Geologist to lead the ore control program at the Fort Knox open pit, overseeing geologists and technicians. You will manage grade control from sampling through modelling, dig line design, and mining accuracy verification to maximize ore recovery and minimize dilution.

You will prepare monthly reconciliation reports, drive continuous improvement in ore control practices, and mentor junior staff.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in geology or related field.
• Minimum four years’ experience as a mine geologist.
• Strong safety commitment and ability to work in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare reconciliation comparisons between reserve models and actual mine production.
• Ensure high quality blasthole samples and ore control releases.
• Verify mining accuracy and track dilution and loss with mine operations staff.
• Mentor and develop ore control geology team.
• Update geologic information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support planning and mine operations to optimize mining efficiency.
