Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island is seeking an Ordnance Coordinator II to lead New Glenn mission operations ordnance programs and manage inventory. You will ensure safety compliance, coordinate shipments, and develop procedures for testing and storage.

The role demands strong communication, proven leadership, and the ability to work extended hours in a dynamic launch environment with strict FAA/DOT and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ordnance operations and inventory control experience.
• Excellent communication skills for client presentations and internal briefings.
• Experience developing and executing launch operations procedures.
• Must pass a background check to access Cape Canaveral AFS.
• Knowledge of BATF regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Professional representation of the company to customers and partners.
• Willingness to work full-time with overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with AFMAN 91-201 and DESR 6055.09-M.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Project Manager for New Glenn mission operation ordnance program.
• Lead ordnance inventory management and tracking.
• Maintain DOT CFR 49 & IATA Hazardous Material certifications.
• Coordinate ordnance receipt, storage, and delivery with services.
• Develop training materials for the Blue Learning Management System.
• Support launch vehicle integration operations as required.
