Job summary

National Guard is seeking an Ammunition Specialist to manage the receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition and related items. You will learn to inspect, modify, and demilitarize ordnance while maintaining strict records and safety standards.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with a mix of classroom and field instruction.

Qualifications

• Interest in algebra, chemistry, physics, geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
• Interest in planning and organizing tasks.
• Work calmly under stress and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate stock control records to track ammunition and ensure accurate documentation.
• Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting using automated and manual procedures.
• Inspect weapon systems to determine need for repair or disposal.
