Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking an Ammunition Specialist to ensure proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition and related items. You will perform stock control, inspect weapon systems, and support demilitarization when required.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Benefits include paid training, a monthly paycheck, and tuition assistance through Montgomery GI Bill and related programs.

Qualifications

• Receipt, storage, documentation and issuance of ammunition.
• Stock control and accounting procedures experience.
• Familiarity with inspection and demilitarization of munitions.

Responsibilities

• Operate records and systems to track ammunition stock and distribution.
• Perform stock control and accounting duties using automated and manual methods.
• Inspect weapon systems to determine repair or destruction needs.
