Job summary

GLSS is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II - Ordnance to join our team at NAS JRB, Fort Worth, TX. The role involves ordnance handling, aircraft maintenance, and documentation to support mission readiness.

Qualified candidates may have Navy AO program experience and an active Secret clearance. Military experience is a plus for this position with the opportunity to work on fighter jet systems and related ordnance components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Navy Aircraft Ordnance (AO) Program highly desirable.
• Active, DOW current Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordnance handling and general maintenance actions of moderate difficulty to meet missions.
• Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data to determine repair methods.
• Replace or repair components such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls and pumps; inspect and service engines and airframe components.
• Supervise jacking and towing of aircraft and document work in maintenance records.
