GLSS, an S3 Inc. company, is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II - Ordnance for NAS JRB Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on ordnance handling, aircraft maintenance, and compliance with military manuals and SAFETY standards.

The position requires Navy AO experience, potential FAA licensing, and active Secret clearance. You will work under supervision of senior technicians and contribute to mission readiness in a military setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Navy Aircraft Ordnance program training is highly desirable.
• Two+ years maintaining fighter jet aircraft at organizational, intermediate or depot level.
• Three+ years of experience maintaining F-18E/F ordnance/systems is highly desirable.
• Active, DoD secret clearance required.
• Ability to repair safely handle aircraft ordnance and perform maintenance of moderate difficulty.

Responsabilités

• Perform and document ordnance handling and general maintenance actions of moderate difficulty.
• Make repairs to aircraft and follow direction of higher graded workers.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces, and controls.
• Rebuild aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment like rivet gun and drills.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data to determine repair methods.
