Job summary

GLSS is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I - Airframe for NAS JRB Fort Worth, TX. The role involves repairing and maintaining aircraft sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to support mission readiness.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of fighter jet airframe experience, a high school diploma, and an active Secret clearance. Military experience is a plus, with opportunities to lead teams on more complex tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining fighter jet aircraft airframes at organizational, intermediate or depot level.
• Active, DoD security clearance (Secret) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
• Repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
• Uses technical publications to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
• Leads teams through more complex aircraft-related tasks and prioritizes workloads to meet schedules.
• May enter entries in aircraft logs and records and support Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC) and ECOD/MWO input.
