Job summary

Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III to join NAS JRB Fort Worth team. The role leads a maintenance team, performs inspections, and handles complex airframe tasks on fighter aircraft.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of fighter jet maintenance experience, with desirable F-18E/F background and an active DoD Secret Clearance. Military experience is a plus and aircraft logs must be accurately maintained.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of fighter jet aircraft maintenance experience.
• F-18E/F experience highly desirable.
• Active, current DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled tasks.
• Supervise mechanics and provide guidance on airframe maintenance.
• Perform and inspect duties of Mechanic I/II/III.
• Repair and modify aircraft structures and components.
• Maintain and repair flight controls, engines, hydraulics, etc.
• Interpret blueprints and manuals to troubleshoot equipment.
• Possess knowledge of sheet metal, electrical theory, and specialized tools.
• Enter aircraft logs and records as required.
• Prioritize workload to meet schedules.
• Specialize in sheet-metal, electric, avionics or related disciplines.
