About the Position:

This position performs purchasing and ordering duties for supplies, materials, equipment, and services in support of facility operations. The incumbent prepares and reviews purchase requests, coordinates with vendors and customers, and assists with resolving purchasing and payment issues.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes;1) Applying procurement procedures to support purchase transactions for supplies, materials, tools, and equipment ; 2) Preparing and reviewing purchase requests and supporting documentation; AND 3) Coordinating with vendors and customers to resolve purchasing or delivery issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Processing purchase requests and orders using established procurement procedures ; 2 ) Reviewing specifications, justifications, and documentation for compliance; and 3) Coordinating with vendors and reconciling purchases, invoices, or payments.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 1
