Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last‑mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD serves thousands of restaurants throughout the United States, delivering more than 37,000 orders a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers with a fleet that averages over 40 million miles per year. QCD associates also help run the national non‑profit GSF Foundation.

Warehouse Associate (Order Selector) – Portland

You’ll be a key player in our warehouse team, helping to move, manage, and deliver products efficiently and safely. In a fast‑paced, multi‑temperature environment you will support order receiving, staging, and shipping while ensuring accuracy, teamwork, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift certification required)
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and verify order accuracy and product quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners and inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
• Follow QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
• Accurately pick, lift, and place products to build pallets per customer orders
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely in high‑traffic warehouse areas
• Visually inspect and verify all incoming/outgoing product
• Read labels, count product, and complete order paperwork
• Support the team with cleaning and additional duties as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Comfort working in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred
• Valid forklift certification and at least 6 months of safe equipment operation
• Strong reading and math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
• Use a voice‑directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders

Schedule & Setting

• Full time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer –5°F to 38°F)
• Primarily a 4‑day work week
• Must be able to work both night or day shift: 5 AM or 3 PM
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods

Pay & Benefits

• $23.71 per hour plus $1 per hour differential for working Friday‑Sunday
