Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is hiring for a Warehouse Associate (Selector) in Franklin Park, IL. You will support moving, picking, and shipping products in a fast‑paced, multi‑temperature warehouse, operating with pallets, scanners, and voice-directed picking systems.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork to keep our supply chain running smoothly. We offer full‑time, on‑site work with weekends and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
• Basic reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift).
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory.
• Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be a key player in our warehouse team, helping to move, manage, and deliver products efficiently and safely. Whether you’re loading trailers, picking orders, or leading associates, you’ll work in a fast‑paced, multi‑temperature environment, focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safety. Your efforts keep our supply chain flowing smoothly — from receiving goods, staging inventory, to shipping orders out on time.

All Associates:

In This Role You’ll:

• Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift)
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
• Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols

Selector (Picker) Specific:

• Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately
• Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy
• Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products

What You’ll Bring

All Associates:

• Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred

Selector (Picker) Specific:

• Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation
• Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
• Use a voice-directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders

Schedule & Setting:

• Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler freezer:-5°F to 38°F)
• Primarily a 4‑day work week, with shifts starting between 3:30PM and 2AM.
• Weekends are mandatory and holiday availability required
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods

Pay & Benefits:

• $29.36/hour or salary range is preferred
• Additional $1.00/hr. for all hours worked in the freezer
