Job summary

Permobil is hiring an Order Selector in New Berlin for 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, with possible overtime. Pay ranges from $16.50 to $17.00 per hour for a full-time manufacturing role.

Responsibilities include retrieving components, managing stock levels, reading ED0s and orders, coordinating with purchasing, and ensuring on-time delivery. Requires basic math, tape measure reading, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and measurement reading skills required.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and satisfactory communication skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Pay Range: $16.50 – $17.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:00pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Your Role in Our Mission

• Retrieve componentsand distribute to assembly or staging area. Responsible for monitoring stock levels and working with the purchasinggroup to rectify stocking discrepancies.
• Organize and read Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) and sales orders, including notes, to determine what components are needed.
• Retrieve correct components to fulfill orders.
• Distribute components to assembly or staging area in a timely manner to ensure on time delivery of orders.
• Communicate with supervisor to rectify problems such as shortages and defective covers.
• Monitor stock quantities and turn in Kanban cards to purchasing group and cutting department.
• Return unneeded items to stock including covers and foams.
• Communicate with purchasing group to rectify problems, such as damages, and shortages.
• Perform inventory audits.
• Communicate with fabrication department and supervisor/Lead on material substitutions to ensure on time delivery of order.
• Process material substitution or inventory adjustments with purchasing group.
• Assist in daily completion of “Cover List” for the sewing department.
• Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events.
• Assist in other departments to ensure products are completed on time.
• Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts
• Report stocked out items through Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO)
• Check in “Cover List” covers delivered by sewing department.
• Maintains quality service by: Meeting/Exceeding all measurements ofperformance: quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of workperformed.
• Contributes to team effort by: Maintaining a good attendancerecord; accomplishing related results as needed; having on call listresponsibility.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and supervisor.
• Become, and maintain, Stock Pickers, WAVE and forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, andprocedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before employeesof the organization.
• Abilityto define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws validconclusions.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $16.50 – $17.00 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
