This position involves forklift operation, material handling, inventory tracking, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrder Processing & Material HandlingPull and stage customer orders accurately using SKU and location systemsAssemble customer orders utilizing prescribed banding and packaging methodsStage materials so production and shipping teams can efficiently process ordersStage sheet goods and lumber in uniform, organized configurations for shippingVerify accuracy of picked orders and report shortages or discrepanciesForklift & Equipment OperationSafely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materialsUnload flatbed trucks and containersLoad common carrier freight throughout the dayExercise care with all equipment to prevent damage and downtimeInventory ControlIdentify all inventory (lumber and/or sheet goods) by SKUMap and adjust inventory within the POS/MRP system (Epicor)Restock materials in designated locations, maintaining good organizationProtect inventory from damage, loss, or mishandlingHousekeeping & SafetyMaintain a clean, organized work area free of debrisLeave workspaces in a condition ready for the next shiftFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsDemonstrate care and concern for coworkers and shared workspacesGeneral DutiesCommunicate effectively with warehouse, production, and shipping teamsSupport continuous improvement efforts related to organization, flow, and accuracyPerform other duties as assignedTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
