Job summary

The Hillman Group in California is seeking an Order Picker I for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00 PM–11:45 PM) to pick and pack customer orders in a high-volume zone picking station, maintaining productivity and accuracy standards.

You will use a handheld RF scanner to determine order requirements, pull products from stock, pack into boxes, and ensure quality standards are met; you will contribute to a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with RF scanners preferred.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Uses a hand scanner to determine order requirements.
• Pulls the correct product from the stock area and packs it into the appropriate boxes.
• Meets required daily productivity standards for lines picked per hour.
• Ensure that work meets quality standards.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to the manager.
• Maintains a current knowledge of operating procedures and company products.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Schedule 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 300 PM - 1145 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)

Picks and packs customer orders in a high-volume zone picking station; maintains established productivity and accuracy standards.

Essential Job Functions

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment: Order Processor Fast paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Near vision required.

Physical Demands: Order Processor Medium- Heavy, lifting up to 30 lbs.
