Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a detail-oriented Order Management professional to support our US-based operations from the Dallas area or our MD offices. The role focuses on processing customer orders, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with global teams in Germany on delivery schedules and pricing.

This hybrid telecommute position requires occasional in-office presence. The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in a business-related field, 3+ years in customer service, proficiency with SAP and Excel, and

• Familiarity with SAP or other major ERP systems.
• 3+ years' experience in a customer service role.
• Understanding of basic back office operations and AR/AP basics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and basic formulas).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• US location with valid work authorization.

• Take ownership of complete order cycle, ensure quality and efficiency through the entire process.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations or similar, and a strong foundation in back-office processes. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desired. If you have exceptional organizational skills, are able to effectively manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, are adept at identifying root causes, resolving operational challenges, and driving continuous process improvements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, then this is the job for you! This position can be based out of our Dallas-area office or one of two offices in Maryland (Columbia and Frederick). This is a hybrid telecommute position requiring occasional in-office presence.

Your tasks

• Process a wide variety of customer orders utilizing various methods and meeting all requirements
• Nontechnical Support of internal and external customers in regards to order fulfillment and order tracking
• Coordinate with counterparts in Germany (Global HQ) on delivery schedules, pricing, and order requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate the order process, achieve joint goals, and solve problems related to order processing. These teams include Finance, Service, Contracts, Collections, and others
• Take ownership of complete order cycle, ensure quality and efficiency through the entire process
• Special projects related to order processing and general lean process improvements

Your Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations, or other relevant field
• Familiarity with SAP or other major ERP system a plus
• 3+ years' experience in a customer service role
• Understanding of basic back office operations as well as basic knowledge of finance related to AR and AP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and basic formulas)
• Strong communication skills via email and phone
• Extremely detail oriented and effective organizational skills
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to root cause issues
• Process oriented with interest in continuous improvement and learning

The total compensation for this position is $25-$31/hr. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
