Primary Talent Partners has a 6-month contract opening for an Order Management Specialist with a Life Sciences client in Deerfield, IL.

This contractor is needed to cover two maternity leaves, starting mid-August and September.

Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Duration: 6 months (approx.)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST

Onsite in Deerfield, Illinois

W2, no sponsorship, benefits, or PTO included. No relocation assistance. Contractor healthcare benefits available for enrollment.

The Customer Order Management Specialist will lead customer care and order management efforts, supporting external customer accounts, dealers, and Leica’s direct sales team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Order Entry: Review purchase orders for accuracy, ensure compliance, process orders efficiently, and report potential risks.
2. Backlog Order Management: Manage backlog execution, review reports, resolve delivery issues, coordinate with teams, and mitigate revenue risks.
3. Phone Support: Handle 6+ hours of Teams phone queue, with a 93-95% call presentation rate.
4. Data Analysis/Projects: Use improvement tools and data analytics to identify opportunities and contribute to standard work documentation.
5. Customer Satisfaction: Exceed customer needs, collaborate with various teams, communicate effectively, and ensure follow-up.

Minimum Experience:

• 5+ years of Leica or order management experience
• Core understanding of SAP system
• Relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Financial/business acumen
• Knowledge of customer base dynamics (Commercial, Government, University, etc.)
• Adherence to compliance policies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Ideal candidates are fully proficient.
