Job summary

The Hillman Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Order Processing and Fulfillment Leader to supervise daily operations, guide Clerks and Fulfillment Associates, and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

You will coordinate workflows, train staff, perform quality audits, utilize ERP/WMS, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain productivity, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management preferred.
• 3–5 years in order processing, fulfillment, warehousing, or related ops.
• Experience training, mentoring, or leading teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance to Order Processing Clerks and Fulfillment Associates.

• Serve as SME for order processing, fulfillment, and related systems.

Job Summary

Provides day-to-day operational leadership and hands-on support for order processing and fulfillment activities to ensure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Supports workflow coordination, employee training, quality assurance, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a subject matter expert and resource for team members. Partners with leadership to drive productivity, maintain service standards, and support a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to Order Processing Clerks and Fulfillment Associates.
• Coordinate daily workflow priorities to ensure timely and accurate order processing, fulfillment, and shipment activities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for order processing, fulfillment procedures, key cutting operations, and related systems.
• Train and onboard new team members on equipment, systems, quality standards, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor order queues, production schedules, and shipping timelines to identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
• Perform quality audits and verify order accuracy prior to shipment to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with established standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate complex concerns to leadership when appropriate.
• Support inventory verification processes, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Utilize ERP, WMS, and order management systems to monitor workflow, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with tracking and reporting key performance indicators related to productivity, quality, fulfillment accuracy, and service levels.
• Promote a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, productivity, and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer, inventory, and operational challenges.
• Assist leadership with workload balancing, resource allocation, and achievement of operational objectives.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Three to five years of experience in order processing, fulfillment, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, or related operational environments required.
• One year or more of experience serving as a trainer, mentor, team lead, or informal leader preferred.
• Experience utilizing ERP, WMS, shipping, inventory management, and order processing systems required.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume fulfillment environments preferred.
