Role Purpose

The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance program for the ORD Fuel Farm, with responsibility for asset tracking, maintenance planning, and accurate equipment records. This role administers SAIM, builds asset and maintenance requirements from the ground up, and ensures preventive and corrective maintenance is scheduled, completed, and documented. • Build and organize asset tracking from the ground up, including asset hierarchies, equipment tags, locations, specifications, manuals, and supporting records.
  • Establish maintenance requirements for each asset using manufacturer recommendations, approved procedures, equipment condition, and applicable inspection and testing requirements.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans and recurring work orders; assign frequencies, responsibilities, task instructions, and completion criteria.
  • Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance with supervisors, technicians, Dispatch, and Operations to manage outages and minimize disruption.
  • Track due and overdue work, identify constraints, and verify completed work has accurate labor, parts, findings, and follow-up documentation before closeout.
  • Coordinate inspection, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and required calibration or testing of valves, pumps, rotating equipment, pressure gauges, and pressure relief devices.
  • Maintain a prioritized corrective maintenance backlog, elevate safety-critical or recurring equipment problems, and track repairs through resolution.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and CMMS reports to monitor maintenance completion, overdue tasks, downtime, recurring failures, and costs; provide regular updates to the General Manager.
  • Maintain spare-parts records and coordinate parts, tools, purchasing requests and contractor services needed to complete scheduled maintenance.
  • Support maintenance budgeting, repair-versus-replacement decisions, and equipment improvement projects using asset condition and maintenance history.
  • Coach and support employees in using SAIM, submitting work requests, documenting maintenance and following consistent equipment recordkeeping practices.
  • Partner with HS&T, QC, supervisors, technicians, and contractors to ensure maintenance follows approved safety procedures, including equipment isolation, lockout/tagout, and Stop Work Authority.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or senior leadership.
