Job summary

Baxter is looking for an Orbiter Technician within our Manufacturing team to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot orbiter equipment used in medical cuff production. In this critical role you will help ensure production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while upholding the high quality standards required for medical device manufacturing.

You will work with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues,

Qualifications

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate orbiter machines according to established procedures and manufacturing requirements.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and replacement of worn components.
  • Develop and support preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and performance issues.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and corrective actions to restore equipment to operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, and equipment documentation.
  • Provide technical support to production teams regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Assist in training operators and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and performance improvements.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and resolve equipment-related bottlenecks impacting production efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and support operational flexibility across the production area.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to achieve production goals.
  • Support a Zero Harm culture by following environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and company quality standards.
