Job summary

Baxter is seeking an Orbiter Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized orbiter equipment used in medical cuff production. You will join a regulated manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The role involves routine maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate orbiter machines according to established procedures and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
• Perform routine maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and replacement of worn components.
• Develop and support preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and performance issues.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and corrective actions to restore equipment to operational standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, and equipment documentation.
• Provide technical support to production teams regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assist in training operators and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and performance improvements.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify compliance with product and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve equipment-related bottlenecks impacting production efficiency.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives and support operational flexibility across the production area.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to achieve production goals.
• Support a Zero Harm culture by following environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and quality issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and company quality standards.
