Job summary

Baxter is hiring an Orbiter Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized orbiter equipment in medical cuff production.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering and quality teams to maximize uptime, ensure safety, and meet stringent quality standards. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive care and documentation to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to read technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Experience with maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate orbiter machines per procedures and requirements.
• Monitor performance and adjust for optimal operation.
• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, inspection, part replacement.
• Develop and support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and performance issues.
• Perform repairs and corrective actions to return to spec.
• Maintain maintenance records and repair reports.
• Provide technical support to production teams on equipment.
• Assist in operator/technician training on procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Maintenance on upgrades and improvements.
• Conduct quality checks to verify GMP/FDA compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks impacting production efficiency.
• Support cross-training and cross-functional collaboration.
• Uphold Zero Harm safety culture and report issues promptly.
