Job summary

CKD USA Corporation in Austin, TX seeks an Orbital Welder to join the Semiconductor Manufacturing Department in our facility. The role welds gas lines ¼” to ½” in a Class 100 cleanroom, ensuring welds meet specifications and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Candidate must have orbital welding experience, read blueprints, and work safely in a production environment; strong mechanical skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent preferred.
• Solid mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools; ability to identify common hardware and build to complex instructions.
• Mechanically inclined with a fair level of dexterity to construct simple to complex assemblies or parts.
• Ability to read and interpret written information and blueprints.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focused.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of high vacuum systems a plus.
• Related butt-welding experience preferred.
• Previous Orbital Welding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment and tooling relative to the operation of orbital welding.
• Performs orbital welding of gas lines ranging from ¼” to ½” diameter.
• Ensure weldments are built to specification based on the blueprint.
• Perform small adjustments to weldments utilizing hand tools.
• Performs daily, routine, and preventative maintenance/inspection on welding equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures.
• Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
