Job summary

Chart, Inc. seeks a skilled welder to operate orbital TIG equipment and weld stainless steel and aluminum vessels. You will read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and perform inspections to ensure weld integrity. The role requires adherence to safety standards and active participation in production workflows.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and forklifts, fabricating and repairing metal parts, and performing welds with minimal supervision. Employment is on-site in Tulsa, OK.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Welder Training Program.
  • Proficient in all positions with GTAW.
  • Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
  • Proficient in visual inspection.
  • Must complete and pass welding test.
  • Ability to adhere to Company Standards and Values.
  • Meet attendance and performance expectations.
  • Interact with co-workers and associates.

  • Promote and support safety and production.

What Will You Do?
  • Experience operating an orbital tig machine
  • Experience in welding stainless steel and or aluminum base materials
  • Operation of cranes, forklifts, and aerial lift
  • Welding of vessels through established manufacturing processes with minimum instruction and minimum
    supervision
  • Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques
  • Thin wall piping
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Promotes and supports safety and production
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
Your Experience Should Be...
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Welder Training Program
  • Proficient in all positions with GTAW
  • Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols
  • Proficient in visual inspection
