Job summary
Sophia Space Inc. is seeking a Software Technical Program Manager to own the milestone execution rhythm for orbital edge computing projects.
You will partner with software leadership and engineering to define plans, success criteria, and trade-offs, ensuring cohesive program flow and release readiness. The role demands strong communication, program management experience, and the ability to coordinate across platform infrastructure, runtime services, workloads, and firmware in a hybrid Pasadena,
Qualifications
- 7+ years in software/infra roles with hands-on experience
- 2+ years in technical program management or equivalent
- Ability to discuss architecture and dependencies with senior engineers
- Experience managing complex software programs with multiple owners
- Understanding of release readiness, risk management and retrospectives
- Experience building lightweight execution systems for milestone planning
Responsibilities
- Own software milestone execution from planning through release
- Define integrated program plans with leadership and engineering leads
- Translate milestone goals into coordinated execution across platforms
- Maintain execution records including dependencies, risks, and decisions
- Establish intake, triage, and risk-management practices
- Coordinate software release readiness and integrated assessments
- Collaborate with business Dev and product on capability needs and releases
