Job summary

Blue Origin's TeraWave program seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead the software development for optical payload and ground terminals from concept to delivery. You will drive end-to-end planning, IMS, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional execution with software, optical, mechanical, and electrical teams.

Bring 8+ years in software or hardware programs and 3+ years in TPM/leadership roles; deep knowledge of optical systems and manufacturing test requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, optical engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software or hardware development programs.
• 3+ years in a TPM, program management, or systems engineering leadership role.
• Experience managing complex software development programs through full lifecycle.
• Knowledge of optical systems and manufacturing test requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution for optical payload software development.
• Define and maintain integrated master schedules and manage dependencies across teams.
• Track milestones, risks, and issues; drive resolution with urgency.
• Manage budgets, resources, and forecasting for software development efforts.
• Lead program reviews and provide executive-level status reporting.
• Serve as technical integrator across software, optical, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
