Job summary

Heartland Dental in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with Dentrix, has surgical experience, and brings a positive attitude to our supportive practice.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification required where applicable.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms per safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply levels and place orders to support workflow.
