Job summary

Western Dental is seeking an Oral Surgeon Assistant to support the Oral Surgeon during patient care and x-ray procedures. You will ensure comfort, accuracy in records, and adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, RDA certification, X-ray license, and CPR/ACLS. Bilingual (Spanish/English) and travel willingness are a plus; open availability is preferred. Training programs are available to grow in the field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• RDA certification for the state you are applying as an RDA (CA, AZ, NV).
• Must have a current X-Ray License.
• CPR and ACLS certificates required; OMSA or DAANCE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Oral Surgeon at the chair during treatment.
• Anticipate dentist’s needs and be prepared for next steps.
• Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and Western Dental policies followed.
• Maintain proper patient treatment records.
• Ability to take Blood Pressure.
• Give pre- and post-operative instructions – within the limits designated by the Oral Surgeon.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to the patient.
• Turn on all units, switches, and water before patient sits down.
• Stock supplies in oratories, restrooms, lab, etc.
• Inform Floor Supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered.
• Inform Floor Supervisor of broken or malfunctioning equipment.
• Perform all duties of a Sterilizer when deemed necessary.
• Ability to build good rapport with patients and staff.
