Job summary

The U.S. Navy seeks an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (Active-Duty Dental Corps Officer) to join nationwide, full-time, in-person service. You will perform advanced maxillofacial procedures, lead surgical teams, and contribute to cutting-edge oral surgery research while ensuring readiness and health of service members.

Board certification and completion of CODA-accredited residency are required, along with U.S. citizenship and age limits.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from CODA accredited program
• Completed a CODA accredited Oral Surgery residency in the U.S. (or in the final year of residency)
• Board certified in Oral Surgery (or in the final year of residency)
• U.S. Citizenship
• Between the ages of 21 and 64 (Title 10 U.S. Code section 531 and 532)

Responsibilities

• Perform complex surgical procedures to treat diseases, injuries, and defects of the mouth, jaw, and facial structures.
• Lead surgical teams, mentor dental personnel, and contribute to research aimed at advancing oral surgery practices.
• Ensure the oral health and operational readiness of service members.

Nationwide | Full Time, In-Person | Not a Remote or telemedicine position.

Total Annual Compensation: $337,883 to $389,461

You’ll lead surgical teams, mentor dental personnel, and contribute to research aimed at advancing oral surgery practices, while ensuring the oral health and operational readiness of service members.
