Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking an Oral Surgeon for our Desert Sky location in West Phoenix. This full-scope OMFS role offers a stable schedule: 12–16 days per month with flexibility to fit your practice and personal life.

You'll perform IV and conscious sedation, surgical extractions (including impacted third molars), implants, and complex pre-prosthetic procedures in an outpatient setting, supported by a capable staff. Arizona license and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with OMFS residency completed.
• Active AZ dental license or eligibility.
• Current DEA registration and AZ sedation permit.
• Experience running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team.
• Patient-first mindset in diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Perform IV and conscious sedation cases.
• Conduct surgical extractions including impacted third molars.
• Place implants and perform complex extractions and alveoloplasty.
• Handle pathology, biopsies in outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with staff and lead a chairside team.

Oral Surgeon - Phoenix, AZ | 12-16 Days/Month | 40% of Collections

What You'll Be Doing

This is a full-scope oral surgery role. The bulk of the work centers on:

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars
• Implants
• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery
• Pathology, biopsies, and the broader scope of OMFS within an outpatient setting

You bring the hands. We bring the patients, the staff, the instruments, the assistants, and the back-office.

Who We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD - we welcome both oral surgeons (completed OMFS residency) and surgically trained general dentists (GPR/AEGD residency or documented chairside surgical volume: extractions, surgical extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement)
• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible and willing to obtain)
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing)
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team
• Patient-first mindset - Risas serves a diverse, underserved community, and bedside manner matters here

Oral surgeons and general dentists with strong surgical experience are both encouraged to apply.
