Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a full-scope Oral Surgeon for the Desert Sky location in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves IV/conscious sedation, extractions, implants, and complex surgical procedures in an outpatient OMFS setting.

The position offers 12-16 days per month with flexible scheduling to fit your private practice or hospital cases, and operates at the Desert Sky office with a ready-made patient flow. Arizona license and DEA are required, with a supportive team behind you.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible)
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team
• DDS or DMD with OMFS residency or documented chairside surgical volume

Responsibilities

• Perform IV and conscious sedation cases.
• Conduct surgical extractions including impacted third molars.
• Place implants and perform complex extractions and related procedures.
• Handle pathology and biopsies in an outpatient OMFS setting.
• Lead a chairside team and coordinate with staff and back-office.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a full-scope oral surgery role. The bulk of the work centers on:

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars
• Implants
• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery
• Pathology, biopsies, and the broader scope of OMFS within an outpatient setting

You bring the hands. We bring the patients, the staff, the instruments, the assistants, and the back-office.

Who We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD - we welcome both oral surgeons (completed OMFS residency) and surgically trained general dentists (GPR/AEGD residency or documented chairside surgical volume: extractions, surgical extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement)
• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible and willing to obtain)
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing)
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team
• Patient-first mindset - Risas serves a diverse, underserved community, and bedside manner matters here
