Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces seeks an experienced oral surgeon for a full-scope OMFS role in Phoenix's Desert Sky location. You’ll handle IV/conscious sedation, complex extractions, implants, and pre-prosthetic procedures in a busy outpatient setting.

The schedule is 12-16 days per month with full flexibility to coordinate with private practice and hospital cases, serving an underserved community with a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with completed OMFS residency, or surgically trained general dentist with GPR/AEGD and documented chairside surgical volume.
• Active Arizona dental license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing).
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team.
• Patient-first mindset and ability to serve a diverse, underserved community.

Responsibilities

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases.
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars.
• Implants and complex extractions with bone grafting as needed.
• Alveoloplasty and pre-prosthetic surgery; pathology and biopsies within OMFS scope.
• Operate in a full-scope oral surgery role in outpatient setting.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a full-scope oral surgery role. The bulk of the work centers on:

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars
• Implants
• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery
• Pathology, biopsies, and the broader scope of OMFS within an outpatient setting

You bring the hands. We bring the patients, the staff, the instruments, the assistants, and the back-office.

Who We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD - we welcome both oral surgeons (completed OMFS residency) and surgically trained general dentists (GPR/AEGD residency or documented chairside surgical volume: extractions, surgical extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement)
• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible and willing to obtain)
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing)
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team
