Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking an Oral Surgeon for our Desert Sky location in West Phoenix. The role focuses on full-scope OMFS with IV and conscious sedation, implants, extractions, and complex surgical procedures in an outpatient setting.

You will join a busy team, operate with a high-volume patient flow, and work a flexible schedule of 12–16 days per month, without a buy-in. Arizona license and DEA registration are required, with bilingual staff support and a supportive leadership

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD required; OMFS residency preferred for oral surgeons;/Surgically trained general dentists with GPR/AEGD and documented chairside surgical volume (extractions, bone grafting, implants) accepted.
• Active Arizona dental license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing).
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team.
• Patient-first mindset; serve a diverse, underserved community with strong bedside manner.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a full-scope oral surgery role. The bulk of the work centers on:

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars
• Implants
• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery
• Pathology, biopsies, and the broader scope of OMFS within an outpatient setting

You bring the hands. We bring the patients, the staff, the instruments, the assistants, and the back-office.

Who We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD - we welcome both oral surgeons (completed OMFS residency) and surgically trained general dentists (GPR/AEGD residency or documented chairside surgical volume: extractions, surgical extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement)
• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible and willing to obtain)
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing)
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team
• Patient-first mindset - Risas serves a diverse, underserved community, and bedside manner matters here

Oral surgeons and general dentists with strong surgical experience are both encouraged to apply.
