Texas A&M University Health Science Center’s College of Dentistry in Dallas seeks an Oral Pathology Services Coordinator to support timely biopsy diagnosis for the OPS. This role liaises between OPS, facilities, clients and billing partners, handling customer service, laboratory workflow and administrative tasks.

On-site in Dallas with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule, pay $21.51–$23.66 per hour. A high school diploma and 2 years in a healthcare admin environment are required; 3–5 years in

Qualifikationen

• Experience with patient records and healthcare documentation.
• Familiarity with pathology, laboratory, medical, or dental terminology.
• Experience with medical billing and revenue cycle workflows.
• Experience with EHR, Epic, LIS, or similar healthcare software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and documentation standards.
• Histology vocabulary or medical/scientific transcription experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate daily laboratory workflow for accurate specimen processing and timely turnaround.
• Oversee specimen receipt, logging, accessioning, gross examination prep, and data entry in LIS.
• Verify accuracy of patient, billing, insurance, and clinician information; follow up as needed.
• Serve as liaison with Revenue Cycle to support requisitions, coding, and billing information.
• Route insurance correspondence, monitor queues, and escalate as appropriate.
• Assist with billing workflows, Epic implementation, eligibility verification, and billing integration.
• Ensure accuracy of laboratory inventory and budget reporting.
