Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center in Dallas seeks a Clinical Billing & Payment Associate to support the Oral Surgery department. The role requires accurate posting of payments, processing EOBs/ERAs, and resolving discrepancies in a busy environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in clinical billing, and familiarity with Epic EMR. Opportunities include professional development and a collaborative team culture within a nationally recognized center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in clinical billing, medical coding, payment posting, claims processing or related.
• Associate’s degree or higher in business administration or closely related field.
• Four years of related experience in clinical billing, medical coding, payment posting or related.
• Experience with revenue cycle management and Epic EMR.
• AAPC or AHIMA Medical Coding Certification.
• Extensive understanding of medical billing and Texas Medicaid.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC; certified billing coder.
• Knowledge of TAMU rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Payment posting and reconciliation for payments from payers and patients.
• Process and explain benefits, ERAs and EOBs; resolve discrepancies and denials.
• Provide customer service support, verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and assist with referrals or authorizations.
