Technology Partners is seeking an Engine 2 DBA to maintain and support our database environments in both on‑premises and cloud setups. You will collaborate with application teams to ensure database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes safely across platforms.

The role emphasizes performance monitoring, data security, and reliable operations, with responsibilities spanning patching, backups, and on‑call rotations. A strong SQL background and experience with DB tools are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience administering databases in a production environment (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
• Strong SQL skills with complex query writing and script reviews.
• Experience supporting application development teams with troubleshooting, release coordination, and change reviews.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and restore processes for Oracle/PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of database security, access control, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement DDL and DML changes in production and non-production environments.
• Manage and commit database scripts in Bitbucket to support releases.
• Review and approve application-driven DB changes for performance and security.
• Analyze SQL queries for correctness and efficiency to optimize performance.
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity; take preventive actions.
• Support troubleshooting with application teams and assist with patches and upgrades.
• Assist with backup, recovery, and restore validation procedures.
