Mastek Limited is seeking a Consultant - Oracle DBA to manage Oracle databases across on-premises and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role emphasizes high availability, performance tuning, security, and compliance for business-critical applications.

Candidates should have 3 to 6 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with OCI exposure, RMAN backups, Data Guard/RAC, and scripting skills; willingness to work shifts/on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Solid Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) exposure.
• Proficient RMAN backups, Data Guard, RAC, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle databases across on-prem and OCI.
• Manage performance tuning, SQL optimization, and resource management.
• Implement and maintain backup/recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Monitor health, capacity, and performance; resolve issues to ensure uptime.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening per best practices.
• Support migrations to OCI including planning and post-migration stabilization.
• Collaborate with app, infra, and security teams to design scalable DB architectures.
• Troubleshoot incidents and provide root-cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Establish and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, RAC).
• Create and maintain DB operation runbooks and SOPs.
• Provide guidance on DB design, capacity planning and performance considerations.
